Bullet goes through kitchen window; three charged

GANANOQUE – Three men from the GTA are facing charges after a resident was nearly hit by a bullet inside his kitchen, provincial police said Wednesday.

Leeds County O.P.P. were called to a home along the 1000 Islands Parkway, east of Gananoque, on Family Day (Feb. 20) after a resident reported a stray bullet had went through his kitchen window, narrowly missing him.

Police later found three men had been target shooting on Weston Island.

A 26-year-old and a 31-year-old, both from Pickering, and a 26-year-old from Toronto are each facing a charge of careless use of a firearm.

They will appear in a Brockville court Mar. 17.
