School buses cancelled in Leeds-Grenville

BROCKVILLE – School buses have been cancelled across Leeds-Grenville as the region is dealing with freezing rain today.

All school buses for schools with the Upper Canada District School Board and the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario are cancelled.

The French transportation consortium has also cancelled school buses.

The schools remain open for those that can get to school.

Environment Canada is calling for a Nor’easter to move into the region later today with up to 15 centimeters (6 inches) of snow, mixed with ice pellets and some possible freezing rain.

As of 8 a.m., a freezing rain warning was issued for Leeds-Grenville.
