Date set for ED-19 dump meeting

BROCKVILLE – The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville has set a date for a public meeting on the controversial ED-19 future dump site in Edwardsburgh-Cardinal.

The county announced last month it would be holding a public meeting to dispel misinformation about the 165 site at the west end of Byers Road.

The meeting will be held at the Drummond Building in Spencerville on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 7 p.m.

The site, if developed, could hold 1.56 million cubic meters of trash – roughly 25 years of site life.
