BROCKVILLE – Two women charged with desecrating a child’s grave this summer, west of Brockville, will be going to trial in May.

Court records show a two-day trial has been scheduled, starting May 3, 2017, for Katherine Collins, 26, of Elizabethtown-Kitley and Haley Peyman, 26, of Kingston, Ont.

Both women are charged with committing an indecent act.

Leeds County O.P.P. started an investigation in September after learning two people had urinated on the grave of a three-year-old boy at the Oakland Cemetery on County Road 2.

The trial in the Ontario Court of Justice will be heard by a judge alone.
