Finalists revealed for chamber awards

BROCKVILLE – The finalists have been announced for the Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce 2016 Awards of Excellence.

Hang-Ups Picture Framing, Riverstone Surfaces and Dave Pipe’s Auto are in the running for Small Business of the Year.

KIA of Brockville, Keystorm Pub and Fulford Academy are vying for Business of the Year.

The Community Excellence Award will be going to either St. Mary Catholic High School, Rotary Clubs of Brockville or the Brockville Police Service.

And the finalists for the Tourism Award are the Aquatarium, Skywood Eco Adventures and the 1000 Islands Seaway Cruises.

The chamber has been piecemealing out the organizations and individuals, being recognized for the difference they make in the Brockville area.

Adam MacGregor, owner of Compu-Silv and Truespeed Internet, is the Business Person of the Year, the chamber announced earlier this week.

Chris Coyea is Citizen of the Year and the President’s Award will be going to the Rotary Clubs of Brockville.

The Young Professionals Award will be announced Friday night (Oct. 14) at the Aquatarium.

The awards ceremony is Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016 at the Brockville Memorial Center.
