AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP – Augusta’s tourism and economic development committee is adding a new business award this year to recognize an owner in the infancy of running a business.

The Augusta Township Economic Development and Tourism Committee has launched a Trail Blazer Award.

It will be given to a young entrepreneur (under 35 years old) with a one to five-year-old business in the township.

That award is in addition to the established Business of the Year award, which was given last year to the Prescott Animal Hospital on Edward Street.

You can nominate a business or young entrepreneur by printing off a form on the township’s website and submitting it to asimonian@augusta.ca, faxing it to 613-925-3499 or dropping it off at the township office in Maynard.

The deadline is Oct. 21 with the winners announced at a luncheon on Friday, Nov. 4 , 2016.
