BROCKVILLE – Two women have been charged after the grave of a young child was desecrated this summer.

Leeds County O.P.P. were told about what had happened at the Oakland Cemetery on County Road 2, west of Brockville, in July.

The indecent act is said to have happened in April.

Police announced today (Sept. 15) that a 26-year-old woman from Elizabethtown-Kitley Township and another 26-year-old woman from Kingston were charged with committing an indecent act.

The women are alleged to have urinated on the grave of a three-year-old boy.

The family of the child told the Brockville Recorder they plan on following the case through the court to try and get a sense of why someone would do such a thing.

Katherine Collins of Elizabethtown-Kitley and Haley Peyman of Kingston will make their first court appearance in Brockville on Sept. 30, 2016.
