O.P.P. conducting phone survey

SMITHS FALLS – If you get a call from someone for the Ontario Provincial Police asking to take a survey – don’t worry, it’s not a scam.

The provincial police service is conducting a community satisfaction survey, which takes about five to seven minutes to complete.

Residents are being randomly selected and participation is voluntary.

Topics include community safety, perceptions of crime and youth issues.

The information, which is kept confidential, is being collected by a third party consultant for the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services.

It will be part of an O.P.P. business plan, which will be released in an upcoming annual report.

The phone surveys will be conducted through Nov. 30, 2016.
