TINCAP – Local flavours of the season will be on sale starting today (Sunday), as officials cut a ribbon on the Elizabethtown-Kitley Farmer’s Market.

The ceremony is happening at noon at the Spring Valley Public Library parking lot at 4103 County Road 29, next to the O.P.P. detachment.

Local MPP Steve Clark, E-K Mayor Jim Pickard and councillors Jason Barlow and Christina Eady will be cutting the ribbon.

Farmer’s Market President Deb Taylor had approached the economic development department about starting the market, which got the green light.

There will be apples, honey, organic vegetables and other wares at the market every Sunday from noon until 5 p.m. until Oct. 16, 2016.
