Motorcyclist killed in Kemptville-area crash

KEMPTVILLE – A motorcyclist is dead after a collision with a car at a North Grenville intersection.

Grenville County O.P.P. say the biker died after the crash on County Road 22 at Kennedy Road, east of Kemptville, just before 2 p.m. Friday.

An investigation is ongoing.

The driver of the Chevrolet Malibu was not hurt.

Police have closed County Road 43 to County Road 22, Kennedy Road to Townline Road and Bennett Road until further notice.

This is the second motorcyclist to die this month in Leeds-Grenville. A 56-year-old man died June 13, 2016 after a crash near Athens.

Brockville police are also looking for a van in a hit-and-run June 16, 2016 involving another biker. Fortunately, she was not seriously injured.
