BROCKVILLE – A middle-aged man is facing a Highway Traffic Act charge after a young woman was hit by a vehicle at a city intersection Tuesday.
Police were called to the intersection of Parkedale Avenue and Ormond Street just before 8 p.m. where a 20-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle making a left-hand turn.
The woman has “moderate” injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance where she is still going through follow up treatment, police said.
Her current condition is not known.
The 51-year-old driver is charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
