Suspected grocery store thief sought

Editor’s note: The story has been updated to reflect the suspect is a woman, not a man. Police say they have received a number of tips and the “ball cap fooled a lot of people”. The investigation is ongoing.

BROCKVILLE – City police say they have nabbed one suspect in a grocery store theft but are still looking for another.

Brockville Police released an image of the second suspect on Monday (May 16) following the theft from the Real Canadian Superstore on Parkedale Avenue.

It happened Friday around 4:40 p.m. when the woman got away into a burgundy Buick.

She was wearing a black jacket and a blue sweater, white sunglasses with tinted lenses and a black hat.
