Man caught with stolen credit cards, data

BROCKVILLE – A driver from the GTA is facing several fraud-related charges after a Leeds O.P.P. officer uncovered a stash of credit cards during a traffic stop.

It happened on Highway 401 west of Brockville on Saturday afternoon.

Leeds O.P.P. said one of their officers pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation when the officer found several credit cards and altered gift cards in the car, along with a bunch of cash.

The driver was arrested and charged with possession of stolen credit cards, possession of stolen credit card data and possession of property obtained by crime.

A 36-year-old man from Maple, Ont. will appear in a Brockville court March 25.
