Hydro outages across Leeds-Grenville

LEEDS-GRENVILLE – A number of Hydro One customers lost their power Sunday night as high winds raked the region.

Just over 50 customers on Indian Lake, southwest of Crosby, were without power and it wasn’t expected to be restored until 2 a.m. Monday.

Meantime, on the other side of the county, roughly 20 customers were out in Kemptville.

Power there was expected to be restored at midnight.

Hydro One crews had been responding to 129 outages across Ontario affecting roughly 37,000 customers.

A cold front moving into the region has been bringing wind gusts of 74 kilometers an hour across Leeds-Grenville late Sunday and into Monday morning.

The windy conditions are expected to continue until Monday afternoon.
