MORRISBURG – After holding the position for six months, Shannon Geraghty has been installed permanently as South Dundas’ chief administrative officer.

Council here announced the appointment Tuesday night following a special council meeting.

Geraghty will also continue to be the township’s treasurer, a position he has held since he started with South Dundas in 2008.

“Council is confident that Mr. Geraghty will continue to be a great asset to South Dundas and we look forward to a successful working relationship for many years,” said Mayor Evonne Delegarde.

Geraghty had been named Acting CAO in July, shortly after the municipality and CAO Stephen McDonald parted ways.

McDonald is now a top administrator for the Township of Muskoka Lakes.
