The investigation, dubbed Project Arrowtown, involved officers with the O.P.P. organized crime and professional standards sections, the O.P.P. Emergency Response Team, as well as the RCMP and Montreal police.

Officers searched seven places in Front of Yonge Township on Thursday (Nov. 12) and seized various amounts of cocaine, marijuana and cash.

Most of the searches took place at dwellings on County Road 5.

A 41-year-old officer from Elizabethtown, who has served 16 years with the O.P.P., is charged with obstructing justice.

Both officers have been suspended with pay under the rules in the Police Services Act.

The two policemen will be in a Brockville court Jan. 8, 2016.

The other eight accused range in age from 25 to 55. Seven are from Mallorytown and one is from Front of Yonge. There are six men and two women.

They are all facing various drug-related charges.
