Drugs seized during drunk driving investigation

OXFORD MILLS – Two people from Ottawa are facing drug-related charges after North Grenville O.P.P. tracked down a suspected drunk driver.

It happened Tuesday night (July 14) after someone called in the report on a black Chrysler 200 travelling north on Highway 416.

The vehicle was located by police on Water Street in Oxford Mills, where officers uncovered open booze, cocaine and marijuana while searching the car.

A man, 26, and a woman, 19, both from Ottawa are facing drug possession charges.

The male driver is also facing a careless driving charge as well as a charge of driving with an open container of liquor.
